Following the audition pitch held on Friday June 13th at River City Labs the June RiverPitch Startup finalists have been announced.
RiverPitch is an invite only event brings together investment-ready ideas (and teams) with actual investors in order to help get the ideas funded.
The application process to be selected to pitch at the investment dinner on June 24, involved an initial 90 second video pitch which was evaluated by a panel of judges. From 35 applications, 10 Startups were selected to present a 5 minute audition pitch to a panel of judges at River City Labs on Friday June 13th.
Stephen Baxter, Peter Laurie, Colin Kinner, Ramine Darabiha, Cole Wilkinson and Peta Ellis judged the startups on their readiness to pitch to pre qualified investors.
The selection criteria was:
Investor readiness, business creativity, business model, scalability, team experience and execution ability as well as the ability to pitch and present well while highlighting the problem their business is solving.
The following startups pitched;

- Parent Paperwork
- Pimovation – Grapple

The calibre of pitches and business ideas was very high and all teams need to be commended. The decision to choose the best 5 proved too difficult so we decided to take 6 startups through to the RiverPitch dinner on the 24th.
